This is a at least a year or two old, but I haven’t tired of it yet. The original song’s stupidity was evident, but Alanis brings out its stupidity even more in her parody. Then again, is it really a parody? All she is doing is singing the original song. You be the judge.
I’m sure this video is an outrage to a lot of people, but then again Jesus was an outrage 2000 years ago because of who he was seen with.
This video is several years old, but it is so well done that I never tire of watching it (even though it depresses me).
Ever wanted a Christmas album with The Jackson 5, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Elvis Presley, Men Without Hats, the Trans Siberian Orchestra and Charlie Brown? Look no farther than Santastic III in 3-D. The first two Santastic albums were absolutely fabulous, and Santastic III gets even better. The mashup of AC/DC and Sarah McLachlan is my new favorite Christmas song!
These songs are not for those who like their Christmas songs the good old fashioned way. These are remixed, mashed up, combined and often set to a pounding bass beat. Some might even find them a little offensive. But personally, I can’t get enough of them.
For something equally as off the beaten path but a little less dance/techno you can also check out Suburban Sprawl’s collection of Christmas albums. Most of these are a little too alternative/emo for my tastes, but I do like some of them and there is quite a variety of songs.
